National and EU Type Approval
Before a vehicle can be registered, its type must be approved. For manufacturers, importers and body builders we prepare the type approval dossier, European or national, and follow it until the approval is issued.

European or national?
For vehicles in categories M, N and O the framework is Regulation (EU) 2018/858. An EU type approval is valid in every member state.
For small series there is also approval at national level, with limits on the number of vehicles. Which route fits depends on the vehicle, the number of units and the market you are aiming at; we settle that at the start.
The type of approval sets the tests, the technical service, the documents and the time. Changing route halfway means starting the dossier again.
